Attack of the Cookie-Cutters!

inspiration
noun
1. arousal of the mind to special unusual activity or creativity

2. a product of your creative thinking and work

Life should be easy, yes, but it should also be your own! My goal in life is to live my life the best I can. I want my experiences to be unique and personal to me. The mass production, assembly line type of life is one of the most disgusting things I could ever imagine.

Example:
  • You walk into the living room of a stranger and it is the exact replica of the setting at Rooms To Go.
  • A girl is walking in the mall dressed disturbingly similar to the mannequin in the Abercrombie window.
  • "Bed-in-a-Bag"- enough said.
I love Target, Rooms to Go, and other major chain stores and I buy a ton of stuff from them, but that doesn't mean if you walk into my house that you can riddle off every price tag for each piece of furniture or decoration I own. It is the same with people, two houses that look the same = gross, two people with the same life = horrifying!!

With all this, what I'm trying to get across is inspiration is a powerful and wonderful thing. You need other people and objects to get ideas from but duplication is for the lazy, boring and unimaginative.
Be an original. Be independent. Be proud.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. -early 19th
