Well sadly Erik and I have returned from the beach. We went to Orange Beach, AL for 4 days and got sunburned, ate A LOT, and sadly got attacked by jellyfish! Yes I was stung, see what happened was... the pool water was not very refreshing because it was nearly a hundred degrees down there so we decided to try out the ocean water. See we were nearly the only people in the water- which was cooler than the pool water- and then I felt some "seaweed" hit my ankle and float away. Next came a burning sensation but I thought it was my sunburn. I then noticed some guests that were staying at the same condo as us so I invited them in the water. The lady graciously declined, she then laid the horrifying news on me that they didn't want to join in the saltwater goodness because earlier that morning there were tons of jellyfish in the water. Great!! As my ankle continued to burn we made a quick exit and never returned to the sea for the rest of the trip! I have a nice purple bruise to remember the little guy from.

However all was not ruined, our friends JJ and Melissa joined us the next day and we all had a blast hanging out and eating some fresh seafood (not me of course!). If you ever have the chance to visit Orange Beach you must visit The Whorf. It is an amazing place to shop and eat. There are tons of restaurants including one devoted to artist Guy Harvey. A Dippin Dots parlor is also there, yummy! And giant ferris wheel greets you into the complex. A movie theatre, bars, and even condos are located on the huge lot. It is a must visit!
