Grandma is Coming!

I was born in Pittsburgh, PA and both my mother and father's family are from there. My father's family has since moved here to GA with the exception of an uncle that lives in TN. but most of my mom's family still resides in Pittsburgh. Last year we unexpectedly lost my grandfather on my mom's side. So it has been difficult for my grandmother. She and my grandfather, or pap as we call him, were married for 63 years! My pap took wonderful care of her so she has had the difficult task of getting around by herself. Thankfully, I have an aunt in Pittsburgh that has been looking out for her. Every summer Pap would drive the two of them the long 14 hour drive from Pittsburgh down here to Georgia for a visit. My grandmother doesn't have a driver's license, and hasn't for about 30 years, so the trip this summer was probably not going to happen. But my grandmother called and said that she needed some hot Georgia sun! So today my mom and dad are driving up to get her and bring her back to us. We hope that she will get a little vacation and enjoy being out of the house. Please keep my parents in your thoughts as they make the long journey up and back.
