Dust Bunnies Beware

{ courtesy of apartmenttherapy.com }

As Spring approaches so does the urge to nest and clean. The enviable spring cleaning is creeping closer. I like freshening up the house with new accessories and re-organizing cabinets and closets. With Spring Break coming up in a week, I have started my list of things to do, cleaning being one. I love the school teacher schedule because it allows you to catch up on things at the appropriate times, Spring Break being well placed for gardening and cleaning. So stop over at OrganizedHome  to see a great Spring Cleaning Chore Checklist to help guide your efforts. Go check it out and get your home ready for the warm weather!

Weekly To Do

This weekend was a nice and relaxing one,
but there is much to accomplish this week. Here is the run-down:

  1. Pick Up new backpack at REI, hopefully Monday
  2. Clean House- yikes! The dust bunnies are taking over.
  3. Target (of course)- Return items and search for an organizing system for office closet, a new duvet for our bed?
  4. Recipe Book- Type recipes in new template that I created
  5. Trip to H&M @ Atlantic Station- find a Rock and Roll outfit for a party on Friday night
  6. PTA meeting- Our 2nd graders are performing their Go Fish play
That may do it, but I'm sure that more will be added to the plate very soon...

The List

Something, always something brewing To Do! I have a list that is my mission to complete before or during the Thanksgiving break. Here is my wish list:

  1. FINISH staining the deck- I have to get a second can of stain, I ran out yesterday.
  2. Update/Refresh landscaping for the cold months- shift a couple of shrubs and plant annuals, then refresh mulch.
  3. Work on the painting for the master bath.
  4. Find a delicious receipe for dinner when Katie and Cj come over for dinner while visiting from Omaha.
  5. Find a suitable and cheap organization plan for our master closet

We'll see if I can get all of this done by Thanksgiving day. Then "Black Friday" is reserved for Christmas card writing and decorating!!
